Windows live mail error 0X800C013E after feature 2004

After installing latest W10 update feature 2004  WLM fails on trying to read emails with error 0x800C013E .

Winver is 2004 (OS Build 19041.264) WLM version 2012 Build 16.4.3528.0331)

Any assistance would be most welcome.

    Close Windows Live Mail.

    In the registry under

    Computer \ HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows Live Mail

    create these 3 DWORD entries (I didn't have them) or change them to 1 if available

    RecreateFolderIndex = 1

    RecreateStreamIndex = 1

    RecreateUIDLIndex = 1

    Restart Windows Live Mail. Then the message display goes back to normal for me and the 3 values in the registry are reset to 0. Can be left like this.

    I wasn't getting any exception errors, I just couldn't send or read emails using WLM after the Windows 10 - 2004 update.

    This registry fix cleared up the issue of not being able to send email and also viewing emails in the message pane.

    I copied the link to the solution after translating it into english. Here it is and it worked for me, after spending an hour fighting unnecessarily with my ISP whose fault it wasn't. I also got a few dozen previously deleted messages reappearing in my inbox and sent box.

    Close Windows Live Mail.

    In the registry under

    For me, the account display in WLM with several accounts after the Windows Update 2004 was corrupt. This is also fixed.

    Normally big and small updates to Windows 10 don’t upset WLM, except this time with version 2004. We were lucky that someone in the world knew how to work around this with a registry patch. I hope that we will continue to be as lucky in the future.

    There are other free email clients available but it is not easy to export the WLM message store with its limit of 15 characters for a virtual folder name.

    And I have had difficulty importing super large message stores into another client seeing it lock up after 20000 of my 30000 email were accepted.
