Windows live mail error 0X800C013E after feature 2004

I copied the link to the solution after translating it into english. Here it is and it worked for me, after spending an hour fighting unnecessarily with my ISP whose fault it wasn't. I also got a few dozen previously deleted messages reappearing in my inbox and sent box.

Close Windows Live Mail.

In the registry under

Computer \ HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows Live Mail

create these 3 DWORD entries (I didn't have them) or change them to 1 if available

RecreateFolderIndex = 1

RecreateStreamIndex = 1

RecreateUIDLIndex = 1

Restart Windows Live Mail. Then the message display goes back to normal for me and the 3 values in the registry are reset to 0. Can be left like this.

For me, the account display in WLM with several accounts after the Windows Update 2004 was corrupt. This is also fixed.

I had installed, reverted to old windows

reinstalled and did this, WLM works fine under Version 2004

I have the same problem and the windows 10 mail app is not user friendly at all. It doesn't allow you to have the same email address on multiple pieces of equipment. The emails don't stay on more than one. So if I an using my laptop while on the road but switch to my desktop at home, they're no on both. Windows live mail let me do this.

Windows Live Mail has been out of support for about 3 years now, unfortunately feature update can break features of this application due to this.

I would suggest using the built in Windows 10 mail app to add your email accounts to.

I wasn't getting any exception errors, I just couldn't send or read emails using WLM after the Windows 10 - 2004 update.

This registry fix cleared up the issue of not being able to send email and also viewing emails in the message pane.
