Hi, Have a look at German company Ashampoo software, http://ashampoo.com their office suite is quite good and works with MS office. it is also far less expensive. I have been using many of their products for 10 years without difficulty. They offer very good customer support. hitbit

Hello Hitbit_3, Thanks for the tip! I briefly looked at their website - will go back when I have more time. I have found German companies to be usually more reliable and offer a superior product. I use a German Forum Software for my forum and like it very much. DJ

Hello Hitbit_3, Really caught my attention when I read: "Mr Gates has moved on to the next billions earning product, anti virus inoculations." I happened to see him on PBS Newshour with Host Judy Woodruff - I think it was in early May. He was boasting that he predicted two years ago Covid-19 type virus, Went on to say he considers himself to be the world's top Vaccine expert. That degree of arrogant behavior in a "world figure" is alarming to say the least. DJ

I've used Libre Office for a few years - perfectly good (and compatible with MS Office) - AND FREE!

After the fiasco, those two windows.old and windows.old.000 that contain large files that were copied in the process of the roll back, eventually had all the files REMOVED that are programs that worked or a third party that is non compatible with W10 or whatever reason the removal was uncalled for, then moved back some of its files into /programs (x86) folders and what not. That does not justify the complete repair. In the disk management console, i noticed it has altered the partition system from basic to dynamic. Affecting my reinstallation of Windows 10, I'd lose all data on that drive due to default formatting and configuration when installing windows 10. Forcing me to do back ups on that drive with partitions that turned into dynamic. That's the way to avoid data loss. Microsoft has bad tricks up to its sleeves, never mind satisfying customers. DO NOT DO ROLL BACK! IT MAKES THINGS WORSE! I might add more notes when I remember things. 071420-11:15a EDIT ADDENDUM: one of the software I use most for viewing images, after the roll back from update ver 2004, it has all its files to run until after the roll out the program were only working partially, up until today that it is gone. I do not understand how this happen but what I suspect is that something that made it disappear is the lingering command to wait for it to finish as these dll files were in use. As Im in process of re-installation of W10, I cannot revert dynamic disk to basic. making this extra time to get this back. MICROSOFT, I just sure hope you read this because there is nothing more truth than this; YOU EFF'ED UP on this one.
