Thank you. With some magic help .. I figured out how to get the Bitlocker key for my new Dell with the latest version of MS. AND I can not see which drivers exactly are suggested for installation. One was for printer, one for assistant, one was for a different thing and NONE were impacting security. Strangely enough when you buy a new laptop with Windows (bitlocker) your Windows account is automatically updated AND stored AND what is very strange is that it is possible that this is only working as expected because I have a paid subscription for MS Pro. Microsoft interface is awful of course..mostly marketing and links trying to get user to click and buy over and over, distracting and encumbers easy access. Also the "billing" menu offers a link to update payment options and there is a "bug" . I try to delete an expired credit card and the software has a stopgap measure that warns it cannot delete a car because it was used last year to purchase a MS account Subsscription. But the current cc is the correct one, and yet several MS apps that I do NOT sue and have never installed have NO credit card associated with them, but for some weird reason the error message keeps saying that the old (cancelled card) is the only card we can associate with the link to MS subscriptions. I don't know if that made sense..basically I cannotup date the default credit card for ALL Microsoftware apps to my current card. If someone tries to use the cards on file 2107, all cards except 1625 which is the correct card and the ONLY card that should be used. 2004! What a wonderful update that was, not! Broke my VIA HD audio driver, nothing fixed it. Apart from rolling back out of the update. Broke Windows Live mail, ok so I need to let it go, have gone with Thunderbird, as Mail UI sucks. To fix my audio driver I uninstalled Update 2004. Why did they let this out? Do I now not let updates in at all? I can't trust them not to break my PC. It should be seamless. I should not have to spend several hours fixing what should not have been broken. I used to defend this OS, but I'm leaning to going Linux if they keep doing this ****.

Is there any point in these posts given that a response from Microsoft is, of course, noticeably absent? I dare not even turn off my laptop for fear that an automatic update will destroy my OS. Again. Since Microsoft is clearly incapable of releasing safe updates, must I switch to Linux? Advice from anyone who has done so would be much appreciated

My laptop keeps coming up with the message saying it can't download KB4560960 and giving error code 0x800f0805 - can anyone help? The support team at MS gave me a long complicated list of instructions which my laptop won't let me do - getting very frustrated with this!

2004!
