Cumulative updates - June 9th 2020

For us on Windows 10 1909 KB4560960 killed Network printers..  KB4567512 manual update through the Catalogue fixes this for Windows 10 1909 only.  But if you upgrade to Windows 10 2004 nothing works again.  If you uninstall KB4557957 printing works again.  Server 2012R2 KB4561666 kills network printing too but that update seems to have disappeared since 3 out of my 4 Server 2012R2 do not have this update.

Thank you for the info.  I have Version 1903 so it appears the fix is not yet available.  I'll keep checking -- thanks again!

Nearly new Intel NUC 10i7 (16GB RAM; 512GB M2 SSD; 2TB SSHD). Win 10 Home 64-bit, 2004 build 19041.329 (Win Feature Experience Pack (!) 120.2202.130.0)

Since the massive 2004 update (KB4557957) last week (11 June), I've been experiencing serious performance degradation.

It boots OK, but when it has been running for several hours, with multiple programs and websites open (incl streaming video), it begins to hang on many operations (including connecting to websites), for increasing periods. Eventually it gives up trying and tells me that an unidentified program has crashed and the crash reporter couldn't report it! This tends to produce a full screen plain white window behind other windows and then trying to close programs often freezes everything. The only solution then is to use CTRL+ALT+DEL to bring up Task Manager and restart from the bottom right corner icon. [On occasion I have had to hard close using the power button, or even unplug it!]

It then takes 3 minutes to close down (compared with seconds normally), before restarting normally.

Yesterday the sequence of shutting down showed the following:

SENS;

Connected User Experiences Telemetry;

Delivery Optimization;

Energy Server Service queencreek;

Intel PROSet Monitoring Service;

Stopping services.

Today the sequence was:

Background Intelligent Transfer Service;

Data Sharing Service;

Intel PROSet Monitoring Service;

Stopping Services.

Interesting that there was only one common element.

At its worst, I've had to restart THREE times in a day. It's extremely frustrating and I'm really hoping that this thread (and others) will get a crisis team at Microsoft to act with utmost speed. The problem has been reported initially by pre-release adopters and now by public users, with no comment from Microsoft.

I'm waiting!

• There are no known issues with the updates of version 2004.
• Known issues with KB4560960(1903/1909): After installing this update on a Windows 10 device with a wireless wide area network (WWAN) LTE modem, reaching the internet might not be possible. However, the Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI) in the notification area might still indicate that you are connected to the internet. We are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
• Known issues with KB4561608(1809): After installing KB4493509, devices with some Asian language packs installed may receive the error, "0x800f0982 - PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND."Uninstall and reinstall any recently added language packs. For instructions, see Manage the input and display language settings in Windows 10. Select Check for Updates and install the April 2019 Cumulative Update. For instructions, see Update Windows 10.

You need to manually download it from Microsoft Update Catalog. It may not be available via the normal Windows Update until next month.
