When I restart my PC all of my files are gone.

Microsoft Windows 10

Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.9959)

I'm using a Patriot Scorch M2 SSD 523GB for my Windows boot drive.

I tried using the System File Checker tool.

DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image/Restorehealth

But when I do

DISM.exe/Online/Cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

It gave me an error

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log

    Okay, if you boot from that, does the installation start, copy files, then reboot and continue with the installation?

    Ok I created Win10 USB using the Media Creation Tool and not Rufus on my Wife's laptop

    UEFI mode

    CSM and Safe Boot disabled

    In UEFI mode

    Only UEFI: Sandisk, Partition1 can be detected

    Honestly it would be best to create the Windows 10 USB using the Media Creation Tool rather than using Rufus

    If you are using Rufus, these are the settings to use:

    1. Yes it's newly created using Rufus on a GPT partition

    Do you want me to createa new one without using Rufus and on a MBR partition?

    Look for a SATA Mode setting in BIOS,is that set to AHCI or IDE?

    The bootable installation USB you are using, is that newly created or an old drive you previously created?
