Windows 11 - File Explorer always opening the Address Bar after cut copy paste any file - Huge Mess

Hi, Each and every time when i do some work in explorer like transferring a file from one location to another it always creates a mess with the address bar which is occuring for past 2 major updates 22h2 and now 23h2.

My Win 11 Specs

Edition Windows 11 Pro

Version 23H2

OS build 22631.2861

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0

    After doing some copy paste thing, this happens. Hope you notice that recycle bin is highlighted unwantedly.

    The fact that we're still talking about this issue 506 days after the OP started this thread is mindboggling.

    C'mon, Microsoft, you've released dozens of cumulative updates to Windows 11 since then. When is a fix planned for this bug?

    For a company your size and with over 60,000 software engineers and coders, one would think that someone would have a solution by now. 🫤

    Also happens when:

    • I rotate images using the picture tools,
    • double-click a file to open it,
    • and randomly when navigating subfolders.

    Just coming in here to say that I have the same issue and its really preventing me from streamlining my workflow.
    Each time I focus on another windows/program and then alt+tab back or click inside the windows explorer window, it for some reasons drops down the address bar.

    Thanks for submitting the bug report, @TE.

    Until this issue is resolved, I have no choice but to go with a 3rd party file explorer app since this address bar "dropdown curtain" is driving me nuts!

    Address Bar in Windows Explorer Randomly Shows History When Toolbar Buttons Clicked

    Hello, I'm reporting that on Windows 11, the auto-suggest list for Windows Explorer's address bar keeps randomly popping open when clicking various file operation buttons on the toolbar. Using right-click context menu to perform the same operations doesn't appear to trigger the same behavior as often. I've tried everything to disable auto-suggest for the address bar, but the problem persists.
