Windows 11 - File Explorer always opening the Address Bar after cut copy paste any file - Huge Mess

Hi, Each and every time when i do some work in explorer like transferring a file from one location to another it always creates a mess with the address bar which is occuring for past 2 major updates 22h2 and now 23h2.

My Win 11 Specs

Edition Windows 11 Pro

Version 23H2

OS build 22631.2861

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0

Please anyone help.

    After doing some copy paste thing, this happens. Hope you notice that recycle bin is highlighted unwantedly.

    Its so disruptive to my work flow. Its ridiculous that Microsoft doesnt do anything about it.

    I just tested build 26100.4061 and the focus still does not change from the address bar to the main window when "New folder" is selected from the "New" menu in the command bar. The focus also does not change from the address bar to the main window by simply left-clicking in the main window. So, in that regard, the problem persists.

    An update:

    I can't remember that I saw this ugly addressbar issue the last few weeks.

    Could experience it with two systems with identical OS and Experience Pack.

    So for my side, it's looking good at the moment. I will continue to observe it.

    System 1 (Laptop):

    • Edition: Windows 11 Pro
    • Version: 24H2
    • OS build: 26100.4061

    System 2 (PC):

    • Edition: Windows 11 Pro

    I noticed this weird, annoying bug when I first switched to Windows 11 in 2021.

    Now, several updates and nearly a half decade later, running:

    Edition Windows 11 Pro

    Version 24H2

    Installed on ‎4/‎5/‎2025

    OS build 26100.4061

    Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.84.0

    it has gotten worse. 🤣

    The fact that we're still talking about this issue 506 days after the OP started this thread is mindboggling.

    It's been 1217 days since they broke "Also apply this template to all subfolders", so I'm not holding my breath.
