Hi, Each and every time when i do some work in explorer like transferring a file from one location to another it always creates a mess with the address bar which is occuring for past 2 major updates 22h2 and now 23h2.
My Win 11 Specs
Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 23H2
OS build 22631.2861
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0

After doing some copy paste thing, this happens. Hope you notice that recycle bin is highlighted unwantedly.

However, I am still at Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.5472) and see that build 26100.4351 was released as an out-of-band update on June 11, 2025 as KB5063060 for Win 11 24H2 so I guess it will be a while before I see it. :-/

I just tested again after updating to build 26100.4351 and I no longer see the issue. Hopefully everyone else sees the same improvement after updating. 🤞
Been on Windows since XP (2002); never have I recall this thing happen in XP or Win 7. Never had this happen, not even on Windows 10.
The problem is unique to Windows 11 because Microsoft rewrote the visual components of Explorer using the Windows App SDK (presumably to make it easier for them to support tablets, dark mode, and other modern interface elements). The Windows App SDK version of Explorer has introduced several flaws that are not present in the Windows 10 Explorer.

I'm surprised this thread had been here since Jan 2024! Are there any workarounds? Since MS is dragging it's feet for more than a year, we can't expect it to be fixed at all. Welcome to the world of Windows my dudes....
