Offset Partition 1 Primary 100 Mb 1024 Kb Partition 2 Primary 465 Gb 101 Mb Partition 3 Recovery 563 Mb 465 Gb The only difference (with respect to the Article linked above) is that mine is 563 MB "type Recovery" while the article talks about a "primary" 250 MB big. So, what is missing? That is a good question John. That part is where I backed the h*** out of there and typed reagentc /enable . What is missing are quality developers at Microsoft. Don

This is what worked for me. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/windows-security/disk-partition-requirement-use-windows-re-tool My Windows RE partition was 508 MB but only had 86MB of free space, according to this article it should have 320 MB of free space. I used EaseUS Partition Master to increase the size of my partition to 800MB and now I've got 334,09MB of unused space on it. After that update went without any problems. Edit: "For Windows operating systems later than Windows 10, version 2004 or Windows Server 2022, the partition must have at least 200 MB of free space."

We have 6 windows 10 laptops in the house. The only 2 this installs on are the two laptops that do not qualify for Windows 11. The cynic in me does wonder if this if this is relevant.... My failure is on a desktop PC that does not qualify for Windows 11. It is otherwise up to date on 22H2 through the 2024-01 Cumulative Update. Disk 0 is a 3 TB SATA drive for data files and a 256 GB SSD with a 534 MB Recovery Partition, 110 GB EFI Partition, and the Boot partition of 231.7 GB with 40 GB free space. I should add that the 534 MB Recovery Partition is 100% free. The SSD was replaced a few years back and an image of the EFI and Boot partitions were restored to the new SSD. So, I don't think I actually have a WinRE partition to update. It seems that this update is lacking...
