Sir, please check your notes. I was the person asking if MS could pull the update / due to the fact it had affected so many loyal users. I am the party that received the "RANT". The apology came from " THE PARTY OF THE RANT " not me. Thanks & I did not need to apologize / as far as I can see. I am older than some but I asked for an answer not repair help. Thanks & respect sincerely, DCF aka ******@outlook.com > I hope everyone is clear on this matter .

Couldn't MS do this to its users automatically without having to do it manually for non-technical users? :/

2024-01-22T21:35:16+00:00 Apology accepted. We are all human's here. It is always more stressful, I think, when troublesome updates occur during the time of year when many folks are trying to deal with school needs, tax preparation, business needs as the year ends and 4th quarter comes to a close. Good luck wishes as you help your friends kid and with your own PC. Best regards.

2024-01-22T02:28:41+00:00 I am sorry it was never my intention to upset anyone, hurt their feelings including Wolfe Masterson. Was not trying to make a political statement. Just my thoughts, and the same things I tell my kids. I hope they fix it and MS takes my fustration has all the people having trouble. I will say so far so good. My computer updated security intel update for defender today. I also went to help my friends kid having the same problem, and it seems to be ok. The difference was she didn't have any red X application security problems. So I didn't have to do the DSIM and SFC. Again please except my apologies.

2024-01-22T01:12:16+00:00 All caps never reads well in any forum. It is “shouting” and just creates tension. This is a frustrating update and all of us are way too busy to have to mess with something like the update and the silence from MS. But in the big scheme of things it is hardly worth being rude to each other on the thread. This too shall pass and we will be back “in business” in terms of our computers working again. If you are aggravated by the update showing up then there are links here and in other threads on how to hide it and how to delete the download. Then turn off automated updates so it doesn’t automatically download again. But above all, please step back and do a bit of self care to lower the “volume”.
