A very large number of users are reporting a failure in downloading this update (KB5034441). There are suggestions to increase the size of the recovery partition to allow the update to succeed. This is a complicated and possibly risky procedure and many are saying it does not work. Microsoft will most likely remove the update or apply a fix.

I'm getting sick and tired of this issue hanging around

Do one or the other asap

OK, I'll sit tight and wait for MS to address the issue. I am able to get other updates and this PC is in my house and I lock the doors so that update isn't really needed anyway.

Thanks again for all the smart folks that allow me to tag along here and try to learn.

THIS! It's known! This is a good thing. Just wait, it isn't hurting anything. Hiding it or doing who knows what at best wastes your time, at worst might screw things up for later once this is fixed.

Don't remove or hide --- it is a stupid advice.

    Microsoft knows that:

    (1) there is a problem

    (2) is working for a fix

    (3) doesn't tell you to remove/hide/pause anything.

Well, we're into February and I'm still getting the error.

I would like to apply the "remove" and "hide" solutions, but the page numbers that you reference are not in this article as it is presented to me. For example, you reference pages 15 and 22. This reply appears on page 9 of my conversation. Or, if MS will ever fix this, I can wait. Seems they should have fixed it by now.

Thanks to all who are providing assistance to those of us like me who exist in copy and paste world.
