Just to add thoughts regarding if it is bitlocker related. We are getting the error on Microsoft Surface tablets. We have not enabled bitlocker encryption on our tablets since we found performance issues when doing so. So I'm thinking it could be something else?

Did the resize and somehow lost the Windows RE location. Am unable to set the location of the partition in reagentc. screwed Edit: I gathered all the changes I made over the past day. Loaded a backup onto another drive. Sorted everything out. Did the resize before doing updates and everything is fine. There are a few drives in the system and I wonder if the efi partition was loaded from another drive if that is possible? The rest of you good luck

Just to chime in... the above is an old standard partition. I don't think the current set of instructions would work for that.
