I have tried many ways to correct the error code 0x80070643 including using the bat file "Wufix.bat" which

required over-night to run. Nothing corrects the problem. Please help me. If possible, please provide a telephone number that I can use to call you and/or Microsoft support.

Thanks Jonesy847. I also ran into the "Windows RE Image Not Found" error and it also was a Win10 "Pro" so your hunch might be correct. I hadn't noticed but my recovery partition was also not in use after fixing the error and the recovery files were now on my main C: partition.

Moving the recovery from one place to another is possible if you follow this answer.

I had to manually create N:\Recovery\WindowsRE in an admin command prompt and apply the image to that directory as Dism said I can't apply to the root directory. Make sure your captured C:\recovery-partition.wim is 400-500MB. Dism will claim success and create a 4-5KB file if you capture from the wrong directory.

    Dism /Capture-Image /ImageFile:C:\recovery-partition.wim /CaptureDir:c:\Recovery\WindowsRE /Name:"Recovery"

    Dism /Apply-Image /ImageFile:C:\recovery-partition.wim /Index:1 /ApplyDir:N:\Recovery\WindowsRE

I'm sure MS puts the recovery files on a separate hidden partition for robustness reasons so I feel better having moved it back to its proper partition.

I deleted C:\recovery-partition.wim when done but keep it if you want.
