How to install KB5034441: Windows Recovery Environment update for Windows 10, version 21H2 and 22H2: January 9, 2024

I tried to manually resize the partition by 250 MB per the instructions here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5028997-instructions-to-manually-resize-your-partition-to-install-the-winre-update-400faa27-9343-461c-ada9-24c8229763bf#articleFooterSupportBridge=communityBridge

I had to exit Disk Part because I can not shrink the OS partition first:

    Yes, it is to be expected that if an update fails, then Windows Update (the next time that it automatically "calls home") will find that the update has not been applied, and thus will retry to install it, and will "achieve" the same failure.

    Have you tried:

    ?

    The important part is getting the correct update from the "Catalog", to match your level of Windows (21H2 or 22H2) and 32-bit-versus-64-bit.

    Winre partition type id is 27

    reagentc example:

    REAGENTC.EXE /setreimage /path r:\Recovery\WindowsRE /target C:\Windows
