USB-C not detecting displays on Windows 11

I cannot connect my HP Pavillion 15t-eg100 to two external monitors. I am using a lenovo docking station and two lenovo ThinkVision T24i-30 monitors.

I have two monitors, a keyboard, and a mouse plugged into a docking station. When I plug the docking station into my laptop via USB-C, the keyboard and mouse work just fine but the monitors do not. All accessories work when connected to another laptop (which is running Windows 10). I know this is not an issue related to cables because I can swap between laptops and the screens are instantly detected. It is worth noting that the USB docking station is also actively charging my computer, so it should be capable of sending video unless I misunderstand.

Here are the steps I have already taken:

  • Rescan to detect monitors several times
  • Check all cable connections/power
  • Update all my drivers
  • Check for software updates and restart my computer
  • Install Thunderbolt Control Center to attempt to detect displays
  • Install Lenovo Accessories and Display Manager to attempt to detect displays

    Hi All,

    I have been struggling to resolve this problem for long time as well!!

    But I am able to fix it by following a method that I saw online. I unplug everything from my laptop and leave it alone. Then long press the power button for 40 seconds, have to be exactly 40 seconds! Then turn on the laptop and connect all cable, HDMI/USBC wire.

    It works well now! I am about to connect two monitors at the same time !

    This worked for me, too, as unlikely as it was. I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T14, for reference.

    Just coming here to say that this worked for me with some slight adjustments, I have a Lenovo Yoga and I had too:

    1. Shut down laptop
    2. Close laptop lid
    3. Hold down power button for 90 seconds
    4. Wait 1-2 minutes
    5. Turn on computer
    6. Plug in power
    7. Plug in USB C dock connector

    AND it worked YAYYYY!! Thank you for leading me down the right track Qishan you have no idea how much this was stressing me out as my livelihood depends on me being able to present online and I need multiple monitors to do this.

    This worked for me on an HP ZBook Firefly 14 G11. The laptop would not detect or display on external usb c monitors or an HDMI monitor connected via usb c docking station. After holding power for 40 seconds the HP turned on keyboard lights for mute, microphone and power, spun up the fans for 20-30 seconds, turned off, did the same thing again and booted up. Afterward both usb c monitors and docking station monitors worked.
