Windows Update failure for January 2024

I’ve pretty much given up on Microsoft being a) able to fix its increasingly annoying broken updates, and b) caring about its existing user base. I think, like every other big IT company, it’s corporate money they’re after.

It seems to me that the small user doesn’t really have much influence, individually. The best way to give Microsoft a kick up the corporate pants is to refrain from trying to upgrade at all.

If Microsoft can’t delivery stable and unbroken software updates then, simply refrain from updating to Windows 11. They’ll soon get the message if their metrics show a huge cessation of upgrading.

I, for one, am perfectly happy with Windows 10. It isn’t perfect but, it seems to have a more intuitive interface than 11, where so much is changed, moved or hidden, seemingly just for changes sake. And I vehemently disagree with the subscription model.

They should have rename their upgrade function in last to Downgrade, Personally the only choice people have today with crazy inflation and corporations sucking out our cash is to move to Linux only, cause Win7 is not an option. abandon the sinking ship, that's what.

I am with you. ianken1951. What is the purpose of keeping Windows updated if it ends up reimaging or having this type of Windows update that will break the machines? It seems like Microsoft doesn't care at all!!!

Class lawsuit does not seem such like a very bad idea right now- MS power-grabs over machine and renders something functional to pile of garbage.

since the last update random errors

reinstalled already GTX driver, rerun updates few times - no available updates

reinstalled the app i had crashes with, but crashes are not within 1 single application and still ongoing and also it feels like have something to do with gpu memory. it simply feels like MS forced to use more GPU memory or using it over the top or unable to use it properly as before. insanely rigged.
