J Mag: (people always call me 'Rosco' but I'm really Ross.

I've been communicating with them. They've updated my Edge on the 5th, 8th. Today the 10th. I received an Update: "Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime." SEE attached installed programs list. I have my Windows Update Settings on 'pause' until after the 13th, but I do have the box "update as soon as they are available" CHECKED. (as I wondered how they kept updating without my knowing). Today, except for the "High Memory Usage Warnings" (of which I told them today) things are working much better. (29) Edge processes while Open, and files are being correctly deleted or saved according to my settings. And, when closed, there were still 12 Edge processes with (0) zero movement (probably not running). Seemed OK to me.

Hi Ross! Here I am on Friday 2-16-24. Now windows is trying to do update KB5034763. It is failing to update. This is the third update in two months that is failing to update.

    January:

    KB5034203 - failed

    KB5034122 - failed

    February:

    KB5034763 - failed

The computer continues to work fine. It has to be a Microsoft issue. Not sure where to go from here.

Anybody else having those same issues? Soooooooooo frustrating!

    Finally found you J Mag:

This is quite thorough. It took me about 3 hours to make a Restore Point, Download and run the installation, then install the updates. Seems to have gone way back putting in all the concurrent Updates for Windows 10 22H2. In other words REPAIRED my configuration and files. Here are the instructions I followed:

Hi, sure, and do you mean that you have done the steps I provided? In addition, If none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...

    1. go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
    2. Select Download Now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    3. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    4. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    5. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

For Windows 10 Home 22H2 I followed the Independent Advisor's advice and I'm fixed. This process will take you about 3 to 4 hours Making a Restore Point, Downloading and running the Installation, then Installing all the Updates normally through Windows Key > Settings > Updates. Follow these reprinted instructions for you:

Note: before doing this make sure to create a restore point: https://support.microsoft.com/en-hk/help/402753...

    1. go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
    2. Select Download Now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    3. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    4. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    5. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.
