Windows Update failure for January 2024

You ruined my PC!!! no things can do, tried few different things, tried to park updates, try to restore by SFC /Scannow tried so many things !!! yet you continue to fail my OS...starting the game or some graphic processing, boom, reset... God damn!> Why did you have to screw up my work, my life?!!

instead of attacking user , Microsoft, tell us what do you want us to disable or uninstall in Windows YOU produce to make IT ACTUALLY work? name all modules that needs to be removed, just to let it work without resetting

Jmag: OK. I got some kind of update last night (Edge). I don't know WHEN they do it... it just tells me "you've been updated." Watching my Task Manager it shows it's doing more weird things. With 2 tabs open, 30 Edge processes running (Fan still goes Max when zooming) and now the process "system" is flashing on and off as the first process in the list. Just keeping in touch. Waiting for 13 Feb 2024. :)

Yes, I did get my update last night, and after the reboot, got the same error. Obviously something is broken and needs fixing. At this point I’m left with two options:-

1. Stay with Windows 10 Pro and wait; or
2. Clean install Windows 11 Pro.

Option 1 is the most appropriate option for me as I have no desire to reinstall my programs and utilities.

Question. Can Microsoft guarantee that this litany of Windows 11 software upgrade issues won’t recur in Windows 12? I ask this because with Windows 13 (suitable rename) Microsoft will have a doubly perceived potential disaster to contend with.

Hi Rossco. Yeah let's see what they come up with. Tonight the computer is trying to update KB5034203 and KB5034122 once again. It will fail again I am sure. What is crazy is why would they allow the updates to keep trying when they have not corrected the problem???? They are the so called experts??? At this point it is out of our control. Meanwhile it is doing security updates without any problems at least. Will keep you posted if they roll something new out this month like you said in a couple weeks. If you see something keep me posted also. Thanks and take care.

Hi Jmag - staying in touch. I'm still hearing my cooling fan go MAX all the time; zooming in on maps or Google earth pr Full Screen movies or live streaming. BUT - I was also frustrated that in the Settings> Privacy & Security > "Choose what NOT to clear" (cookies)!!! Something intrusive here - lost a couple and had to 'Add' in again AND noticed my statistics on Chess.com got lost. (those are supposed to be what cookies are for, so you don't have to start all over again) I save most cookies that require a 'call-back' or some extra verify step. Otherwise, I'm anxious to see what those hard working (educated) experts come up with. :)
