I am with you. ianken1951. What is the purpose of keeping Windows updated if it ends up reimaging or having this type of Windows update that will break the machines? It seems like Microsoft doesn't care at all!!!

Since Microsoft is aware of the issues with this newest round of updates, for Windows 10 O/S my desktop computer
still searching for updates and I'm wondering how or what will happen when these updates have received the patch to correct the issue will my computer be able to download and install

2024-01-28T00:11:59+00:00 Sorry to butt in. Similar problems with KB5034203. Also, have EDGE 32 processes running according to my Task Manager. I don't think these people have it figured out yet. (Windows 10 HOME 22H2). :(

2024-01-27T21:38:39+00:00 Yeah I get that "Don't turn off your computer" message too and it never goes away so I have to hard shut down the computer. Now there is a new update going on as we speak. We'll see if this was the replacement for the one that would not update from Microsoft. It is KB5034203. It is downloading and is at 5% for a while now. I'll type a message on this thread after it finishes with my result.

Left the 'Configuring Windows. Do not turn off your computer ' on screen for almost an hour. Then turned it off.
On restarting, it flashed up 35% complete, then 100% complete before Restarting appeared. As it restarted through POST, noticed it dropping down to DOS with a "System Updating 100% complete" message. After that I was able to login normally.
