Windows Update failure for January 2024

Since Microsoft is aware of the issues with this newest round of updates, for Windows 10 O/S my desktop computer

still searching for updates and I'm wondering how or what will happen when these updates have received the patch to correct the issue will my computer be able to download and install

    I am facing an issue during the updation process of a new update which came in January 2024. During the updation process, encountered the error 0x80070643 in my Windows 10 OS. I have been facing this issue for more than one month now, hope this will be resolved as soon as possible.

    When you're finished with 1) the 'Upgrade" download and install LINK I showed, and 2) Windows>Settings>"Check for Updates" (will self install the latest) THEN my Windows 10 HOME 22H2, "Programs and Features" looks like this now:

    That sounds like a good route to go.

    Just one last update from my side. I paused all updates for nearly a month to allow Microsoft to address the issues and updated 2 days ago.

    The one 'quality update' that failed was KB 5034441. If this appears in your list, I would leave it out as it must have been overridden by a subsequent update KB#

    1. I REALLY like that I found out you can End Tasks in the EDGE Task Manager. It describes the tasks and I managed to get my Task Manager down to 10 Edge Processes. Do this - open Task Manager (Ctr + Alt +Del). Now, to get to the EDGE Task Manager hit Shift + ESC. Your Task Manager will close the do it again Shift + ESC and voila. The top few tasks are needed but further down you can try Ending Tasks. It saves a lot of memory.
    2. Did you follow these instruction? It takes a long time, but completely reinstalls Windows 10 and repair files too.

    It fixed me, BUT didn't address the huge Memory Usage (Item #1 above). I have a 250 G SSD.

    After the 'Upgraded' installation of Windows 10, THEN check normally for SETTINGS > Updates::::

    This is quite thorough. It took me about 3 hours to make a Restore Point, Download and run the installation, then install the updates. Seems to have gone way back putting in all the concurrent Updates for Windows 10 22H2. In other words REPAIRED my configuration and files. Here are the instructions I followed:

    1. go to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...
    2. Select Download Now, and select Run. You need to be an administrator to run this tool.
    3. On the License terms page, if you accept the license terms, select Accept.
    4. On the What do you want to do? page, select Upgrade this PC now, and then select Next.
    5. After downloading and installing, it should fix the issue.

    They should have rename their upgrade function in last to Downgrade, Personally the only choice people have today with crazy inflation and corporations sucking out our cash is to move to Linux only, cause Win7 is not an option. abandon the sinking ship, that's what.
