I googled the actual KB and found this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/topic/kb5034441-windows-recovery-environment-update-for-windows-10-version-21h2-and-22h2-january-9-2024-62c04204-aaa5-4fee-a02a-2fdea17075a8. It seems that it updates the Windows Recovery (WinRE) environment, and the tip about resizing the partition for that is valid. You can find the link to the instructions in the KB article I linked.

I did that and the installation passed.

I got a 2TB shouldn't have to re-size jack. Nobody should have to re-install, mess with hardware settings or re-configure, or partition anything for a dang update.

You tell em! I'm with these users -the ridiculous updates are taking it's toll. I'm on day 2 now and 12 total hours dealing with updates issues.

Dear Microsoft, the answer to an issue with YOUR product shouldn't be that a user has to complete 12 different steps, run diagnostics, click a bunch more options, then unclick blah blah blah. If the answer requires a paragraph to explain a fix (btw doesn't fix anything) then the real problem is the product/update. #WindowsHostages
