File explorer not responding in Windows 11. It opens up but becomes unresponsive when you click anywhere.

I tried every solution available on the internet to make file explorer responsive. However, it is not working. I open up file explorer, it opens. Now, when I click any folder or any icon or try to do search, it becomes unresponsive. I have spent days trying to fix this and I am very frustrated with this. Can any Samaritan

help me with this?

    Interesting suggestion. But how do I get there if in order to use Windows+R shell: command you required to use Explorer to Browse for the folder and be able to Delete them?

    I think you should add a more detail way to accomplish this.

    I have a problem on file explorer..it opens alright but files do not open ..the wheel simply spins...some times opens often times no

    i have the same problem, did u find any solutions? When i use the file explorer, either instantly or after a couple of minutes it just freezes and doesnt load in, theres a spinning wheel at the top left showing that its loading, and it takes several minutes. I am going insane because of this issue and microsoft clearly doesnt give a **** **** considering they dont have any solution

    Explorer has been broken since Win10.

    Is there anyone actually still working on this codebase anymore, or is it to be replaced in the near future?

    This is pretty much EVERYTHING that is bad about using windows, and has been for getting close to a decade.

    This is the only non Apple, or linux box in the house and is pretty much just used for gaming. ANYTHING that is remotely, mission critical, I don't trust to MS developers.

    You're only going to get so much quality from a captured audience/trust product, but it's still atrocious.

    I feel your pain.

    My advise is to to download Explorer++ from any reliable site, preferably the official site that you can find on this link Explorer++ Site

    It's a tiny application that does the same job as Windows Explorer, but way better.

    Windows Explorer won't work properly for some reason, and I don't want to go through another Windows 11 re-installation again. Troubleshooting helper isn't helpful at all......

    It really uses really RAM. With several tabs.

    Sadly, an alternative Windows Explorer relies on Windows native functions.

    So, to sum up : this application is handy. It's better that Windows Explorer, faster, etc...

    I'm a happy Explorer++ user, not someone paid to promote this application. So, as someone who spends a lot of time on computers (I'm a software dev), I like to work on a computer where I feel at home.

    Any one who is familiar with "crunch time" should know how I feel !

    I'm sure we will talk again about new VS, .Net, etc
