The info in that link is incorrect (MS's fault). It says: "The WinRE partition requires 250 megabytes of free space. Devices which do not have sufficient free space will need to increase the size of the partition via manual action."

I have 571megabytes  and get the error message every time I try to run this KB5034441 update from Windows Update. What is probably correct is that Microsoft will never fix this issue since they've moved on to "better" things like Win 11 and who knows what else.

If the 250 MB allegedly are about partition size, what do you think the update fails for in the first place? The 250 MB are about free space, and you don't have them. And no, you don't have 100 % free on that partition.
