frustrating update of KB5034441

Didn't work for me either, I have tried all their little tricks/line commands etc... and still not update. I think it is a ploy to get everyone to pay to update to WIN11 but my PC will not except WIN11 it says my CPU is not compatible, and I am not going to buy a new CPU when the one I have works fine. I too bought 10 Pro and now they want me to get 11. I think I am gonna dump Micro$oft because Bill Gates is EVIL and switch my OS over to Linux. It is a more secure and stable OS and less likely to get attacked by Malware and Viruses. I ran Ubuntu in the past but stopped using Linux because it is a heavy learning curve than Windows. You have to learn alot because it is so different!

I tried everything Micro$oft said to do and I got errors everytime, I even tried to change the size of the drive MRE I believe it was and got an error saying I could not change an OEM drive size or something like that. I tried for 3 hrs trying to get this thing to work and all I managed to get done was give myself a migraine headache trying to fix this. That is why I am NO LONGER a tech even though I am certified still, I no longer like working on PC's because I get migraines from it now. After working on PC's for 45 yrs, my brain is fried from troubleshooting this **** so much.

Try this to see if you can selectively block the update for your Windows system.

I also posted my success message [see image below] that the tool worked to hide the selected Windows update - KB5034441.

I ran the Windows update process after the tool hide the KB5034441 update and it came back with all good!

I would never, ever re-size a Windows partition on a working system unless I had several backups, the original M$ Windows license and all of my software licenses that I use/own and have everything detailed with versions, etc... Including screenshots of the setup for everything that I use and work with - including Web browser start page URLs, and all of the user names/account & associated passwords, and my email accounts and their respective setups/settings. M$ get your "S--T" together!!!! This re-sizing a partition is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I have been doing IT since 1980 ... just not ok. PERIOD!

I fully agree and share your frustrations. MS should better think twice before they release such unfit updates as well PowerShell "tweaks" which turn us into even deeper frustrations. I am in love now with Mint 21.3 which I will put in action on a parallel plan. MS "imperialistic" behaviour is more than a motivation to do so... thinking about the way we are "put on their leash and commandments" by chaining us to their "MS Office suite" as well as bypassing our "straw" called Rufus so to install W11 by not delivering certain security updates onto units not having needed processors, HW etc. (onto which we "rufused" W11). Feels like they teamed up with Intel/AMD so to crank up sales..... no sustainability visible ... like everywhere they preach green ideas and ask us to scrap good equipment. The quick brown fox has slowed down and turned grey, but they're not getting me ... too smart here. THANKS a lot for your very helpful post, it solved my initial problem where as I can only say, to not see the malicious error message for KB5034441 anylonger and hope for KB5034763 does fully work.
