Security Update KB5034441 for Windows 10 Ver. 22H2 will not install.

Thank you so much Microsoft as you have started the New Year off with bang with this update failure below on the first patch Tuesday of the year:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x8024200B: 2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441).

Tried multiple times to install this brick but no luck on my OMEN desktop and my wife's Envy laptop. So now what Microsoft?

    Elise,

    If Microsoft is going to deny the end user the ability to determine the updates that are installed, then they should darn well make sure that the updates install correctly and function correctly. KB5034441 does neither of those things. Furthermore, it should not be incumbent upon the consumer to fix this themselves.

    If it's Microsoft's intent to drive users away from Windows and into Linux, this is a great way of doing it. I suggest Microsoft gets busy and starts making a product that isn't riddles with bugs and defects.

    I HAD AN ONLINE CHAT WITH MICROSOFT THIS MORNING (1/15/2024) AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. SAID IT WAS NOT MY PC, AND THEY HOPE TO HAVE IT RESOLVED SOON.....HOPE THEY DO!!

    I've used Linux since early Ubuntu 8.10 and have tried several distros ever since. Although I've been able to get some things done in it, native Microsoft desktop apps are what I need and can't get it Linux. I actually like both Windows 10 and 11, hope to have an option to keep both for as long as possible (or something better).

    Judy thank you for the info. I hope they resolve it soon too! The Nov cum update messed up my computer so bad I had to re install win 10. I paused the updates for Jan as the security update would not install on my desktop. Did not even try to install it on my laptop.
