2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441) error (0x80070643) a known issue?

I keep trying install this update yet it keeps failing. I already ran troubleshooter said it resolved the issue but the error persists. I also disabled my antivirus and tried again still did not work And I keep getting error (0x80070643) Is this a known issue? All the other updates installed fine without issue.

    Reorganising the partition size on my computer might fix the problem but it looks like a complicated process, running the risk of creating major problems on my machine if I don't do it correctly. I feel neither qualified or competent to follow these instructions without understanding what I am doing, in case something goes wrong. Microsoft needs to sort this out and then inform the end user when it is fixed, not expect them to go into their machine with a complex software patch - we are end users, not software programmers/designers - we expect products to work.

    I also have read that Windows Home Edition does not come with BitLocker. So that probably applies to many users that are not tech savvy. Updates should be tested to be automatically applied and not have to have complicated workarounds. Hopefully they will get there act together and fix this for the general public without jumping through hoops.

    Same here. Today is January 12 & still the problem is persisting. Everytime, the update shows as installing at 0% & then suddenly after a long time, it shows error

    That worked for me too, actually.

    My problem was I really didn't like the process described in KB5028997. I find the number of steps involved and the deletion of the existing, otherwise healthy WinRE partition a little scary, especially considering the included note warning that the partition (re)creation may 'fail'.

    It seems to me that it might be safer to simply shrink the existing O/S partition slightly (like by 500MB - 1GB or so) and then expand the existing recovery partition into the resulting unallocated space.

    In my case, my C: drive's recovery partition was about 500 MB in size, (which was apparently 150 MB short of the minimum recommended size of 650 MB). I decided to increase my recovery partition's size to about 1 GB.
