    Hi all!

I have this damn update downloaded but not installed. I understand that it is now somewhere in some downloads section until it is installed, right?

(I have Win10 Home, I understand that I do not have BitLocker in the OS and this update is still useless for me).

Is there a way using standard Windows tools to remove the archive or update installer from my computer?

(by the way, on my second computer, where the Pro version OS was installed, this update also arrived and an error occurred. I tried to follow the instructions for expanding the partition. As a result, I destroyed everything that was on the C drive and now I have to on the second computer install the OS again. Microsoft will not return my work and data to me. Microsoft, you have set me up once again! After installing the fix for this problem, I made a firm decision to make every effort to ensure that there are no more updates on my main computer.)

Thank you, but I've never heard of a Powershell script and the link you gave doesn't explain how to use it in simple layman's terms. It still seems rather complicated to me. Hopefully Microsoft will fix it through a later normal update process.

That other error is hidden in system logs.

If you check your recovery partition size and it's less than 750 MB AND you're getting error 0x80070643 when you try to install this update, that IS the cause.

I am getting the error on update KB5034441; "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help (0x80070643). Status: Download Error 0x80070643

The only answers I have found here are for the errors:

    • Windows Recovery Environment servicing failed.
      (CBS_E_INSUFFICIENT_DISK_SPACE)
    • 0x80070643 - ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE

WinRE needs to have a bigger (1gb) partition, but I am not getting the error it says you will receive if the partition needs to be expanded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
