Update KB5034441 fails to install

I must admit, the task of reinstalling windows with everything that might entail to get my computer back to where it is at present, is not something I would take lightly. Apart from anything else, the time this might take and the stress of something going wrong and the disruption this would cause, is not acceptable for what sounds like a poor backup service from Microsoft. Surely when we buy any new operating system we might expect updates until it is no longer supported, and if not for Windows 10, them why should it be different for Widows 11 and everything else in the future. Though I might be able to "hide" this unwanted update, the fact remains that it has done something to make my system restore stop working which leave the computer vulnerable to failure.

If you don't have a WinRE partition, why are you complaining about this when Microsoft specifically tell you that you can ignore the error message.

It is actually the opposite of lazy because Microsoft was just "carefully" migrating in phases.

They could have dived head first in June 2023 with the new monthly cumulative patch to WinRE for all windows 10 and windows 11 computers and we wouldn't have this problem. Windows 10 computers could have installed smaller patches from June 2023 on and never trigger the out of partition space warning.

But it is precisely the phase launch that created a gigantic space requirement problem in the end as windows 10 had to patch 6 months worth of patches all at once in the January patch.

Diving head first is the "lazy". People having Christmas holidays are also not "lazy".

I repeat it was not lazy and worked on W11, but as a W10 user I don’t care how careful and wonderful it worked on W11, they just ported lazily from to w10, knowing it was not going to work.

This guy is no a “hater”, and self proclaimed techie Windows “enthusiast”, always pushing people to patch for security, still this is one of the few occasions he rants:

And this is one of his lasts, he comments they could script it to show the error once or not offer the update if you don’t have a WinRE partition, if you don’t use BitLocker, or if you are in Home Ed. But nooooo, they lazily pushed universally for everyone even when most don’t need, making  a lot of people worry and pulling the hairs when they see they should “contact support”, not everyone comes here and for what you see here not even people in the chat or support is helpful, because is an unnecessary problem created by W update people, call it lazy or not but is  screw up.

I said the patch is lazy, not that the engineers are lazy, perhaps on contrary they are over worked and unmotivated people, as shown in some reports from MS; but still there seems to be a poor leadership and management there.

I have not done anything waiting on Microsoft to get there you know what together. You start messing around trying to do what they tell you to do you're going to be in more trouble. They sound out another fix it today and it's no good either they said just leave a go they will try to fix things later. Yeah yeah yeah we've heard this before good luck to all I would stop messing with your computers and wait till you get your computer hacked and then we can all Sue microsoft!

How about coming out with a patch to fix this instead and having to do all this work to fix a problem you created??

Totally agree.

Sadly here is not even read by MS and less by engineers, is run by voluntaries that do their best to help people here.

With the chaos, and few personal MS has i doubt they read or care what happens here, I assume for them is those voluntaries problem to deal what happens here and give assistance.

There is a contact for feedback them but i don't have it, perhaps a mod and assistant knows.
