I saw that I have 520MB of Healthy Recovery Partition in which I failed to shrink and the error was "you may not shrink OEM, ESPY or recovery partitions, or, offline volumes. The volume you have selected may not be shrunk. Please select another volume and try again.".) (Also when I shrink from C: and then I do not see new partition which suppose to be seen).

So kindly help.

    I have successfully increased the recovery partition and the patch appears according to the log to successfully apply.

    However, it keeps re-applying itself, successfully allegedly, every time I check for updates.

    When I try and check the patch level using Dism /Get-ImageInfo I'm getting

    ServicePack Build : 3562

    This is on my laptop, whereas on my desktop where I have managed to successfully apply the update I get

    ServicePack Build : 3920

    I've tried growing the recovery partition by another 250MB in case it needed more space but it doesn't appear to have made any difference.

    Are there instructions for how to apply the patch directly to the Windows Recovery partition? Or is there anything else I should be considering?

    Not fixed on my laptop. It continues to re-apply the patch time after time, every time telling me it has successfully been applied.

    So when your less-than-helpful comment says it's been fixed, what exactly are you referring to? Do you mean the problem of it constantly re-applying the same patch time after time? I can find lots of info about the lack of disk space on the recovery partition, a problem I did indeed suffer from and was able to fix. However, I can't find any useful info on the patch being constantly re-applied or not properly being applied.

    Microsoft has updated the patch. I checked my partitions, there was no change to the partition sizes that I reported in my Jan 10 reply. So, I am guessing that the problem was not really the partition size. Deciding, after having had several failures to fix the problem by changing the partition size per the MS "solution," to instead wait for MS to fix their freaking bug seems to have been the best choice for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
