Same here. Solve puzzles three days, on the fourth they show as unsolved and i have to do it all over. My work-around is: solve it on my iPhone and everything runs smooth. Only thing is i prefer to do it on the laptop, Win11, and as it is now, i never know if i'll have to solve 1 day or 4 days. REALLY IRRITATING.

    I have tried:

    app reset. No change.

    uninstall/reinstall: no change

Same on both WEin 10 and Win 11

Not only are my cumulative efforts for the daily challenges not stored, but when I play a classic game the system presents me with the exact same game I last solved.

It's a pity that a nice, good-looking, clean game has been spoiled in this way for so many unsers. I'm quitting now and will maybe look at it again in a few months' time when it 'might' have been resolved.

Also tried to manage this problem in the same way but no success. MS has taken a long time to fix this.

Sorry it did not work for you. Perhaps I should hav mentioned that this solution only worked after following earlier advice on this question which I repeat here:

Open the File Explorer and paste the following into the address bar to go to a specific location on your computer:

    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker

Delete any accounts and cache folders that you can see at this location.

This restored my game progress history for the month to the point that I lost my scores. I have also unistalled any thing related to the Xbox app. This does not appear to impact any of the other MS games like Solitaire.

The message that I get after a wait reads something like RESTART REQUIRED as a banner followed by a message that the game has lost sync. There is a large button to press labelled RESTART. I have had the same message come up on my Android phone version of the game so it does not seem device specific. Good luck.

Ian-AP, THANK YOU for your solution! It worked for me.

FIRST I deleted the Sudoku app. (Before this mess started I played Sudoku Daily Challenge for months.)

THEN Open the File Explorer and paste the following into the address bar to go to a specific location

    on your computer:

    %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC\TokenBroker

THEN   Delete any accounts and cache folders that you can see at this location.

THEN   I have also uninstalled any thing related to the Xbox app. This does not appear to impact any of the other MS games like Solitaire. (As I recall most of my issues started when Sudoku was tied into Xbox)

FINALLY I reinstalled MS Sudoku and it ran properly!

AND Anytime something about installing an Xbox-something comes up I ignore it.

    Thanks again, Dave
