To resolve this you can also use the powershell to edit the registry like this:

reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR /f /t REG_DWORD /v "AppCaptureEnabled" /d 0
reg add HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore /f /t REG_DWORD /v "GameDVR_Enabled" /d 0

This disables the game recorder software which seems to still think that the gaming overlay is still present.

Yes gamebar can be annoying but Windows is provided for free, Microsoft can put whatever it wants into it's freely provided OS as we except the terms and conditions every time we log in. what they should do is provide a free version like they do now with all the bloat and a paid version that removes absolutely everything and is like tiny 11, this way those that want it for free still get the full Microsoft treatment and those that want the OS free of all clutter and to be THEIR OS can pay like previous version of windows.

I would gladly pay for windows if it removed all the bloat and all the AI **** and all the telemetry tracking.
