Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

When I tried to install the windows update "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)" I received the error code (0x80070643).

I have already tried, restarting my computer, waiting a bit before retrying, running a memory diagnostic check, checking all my drivers for updates, installing optional updates, and running a malware scan.

When I tried to run the windows update troubleshooter it said "diagnosing problems" but never fixed them and I was still unable to install the update after running the trouble shooter.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you follow the instructions in the link I posted and successfully excluded that specific windows update, it should work

Truthfully for something like this that could be affecting such a large community of ordinary users, I do wonder why Microsoft still haven’t fixed this

Better instead in the meantime to temporarily exclude this update from windows update

Follow the instructions in the following link

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/where-do-i-find-wushowhide-found-it/30a3e799-8461-4c05-b194-ade7cba4d980

    Hello Bryan Dredge
I do not understand this, please explain to me
Why is it better to exclude this update? What is the difference with the time when it gives an error and the rest of the updates are received and installed?
Now this update shows me an error in the windows update section, but other updates are received and installed without any problems
    thank you

    Hi,

I had the same problem on my desktop-PC and laptop. I just ignored it for a few weeks but found it annoying enough to again search for a solution.

    I exactly follwed instructions on

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5028997-instructions-to-manually-resize-your-partition-to-install-the-winre-update-400faa27-9343-461c-ada9-24c8229763bf

    which worked fine.

The system partition has been shrinked savely (no data loss or corruption) by 250MB, the recovery partition has been deleted and setup wit 250MB more space. After that the KB5034441 update finished without error.
