Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

fro me it weas working till i got to a certain seecond and it said wouldnt let me go any further it said some of my files were currupt on my comp. i tried to do a diskcheck and that was fine but i still cant do it

In fact, I have just done a complete twentieth test and after completely updating Windows Update and obtaining build 19045.4412, there is no longer any trace of the KB5034441 update.

But a Repair Install with an In-place upgrade remains necessary, even if we are already under this build.

So, this new situation started happening the day before yesterday, the release date of cumulative update KB5037768:

Can Microsoft tell us where this KB5034441 went after repairing the system by an in-plce upgrade, then updating Windows update to build 19045.4412 ?

You can d/l Windows 10 from the MS website and either create an ISO image on DVD or put it on a USB thumb drive, as I did. The available size must be at least 8.7GB. Before doing the repair make sure that you either have a digital license of Windows 10 or know the 25-digit product key. If you have a digital license you don't have to do anything after the repair. Otherwise, you'll have to type in the 25-digit product key to activate Windows after the repair has completed.

You can also go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation to see if your current copy of Windows has been activated with a digital license linked to your MS account.

Thank You very much for the link to the support article. For whatever reason my system did not try to install this update until the May cycle. I leave automatic updates OFF until I see the rest of the internets experience with each months updates.

I haven't messed with partitions in a long long time so the step by step instructions were very helpful! This did solve my problem.

Well I have resized the recovery partition and added 250MB, and yet I STILL get the exact error message when trying to install (KB5034441).

What now?

Do the "Repair install with an in-place upgrade", as suggested by ZEKRI Abdelhafid several times in this thread with links on how to perform the task. No messing with partitions or anything. I did it the other day and, although it takes a while, it works. No more KB5034441 error message now.

If you do not have an install disk you can d/l Windows 10 and create one on DVD or a USB flash drive. Scroll up several messages to my previous reply for the links. I believe the tutorial to do the repair from ZEKRI Abdelhafid is on the previous page.
