Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

When I tried to install the windows update "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)" I received the error code (0x80070643).

I have already tried, restarting my computer, waiting a bit before retrying, running a memory diagnostic check, checking all my drivers for updates, installing optional updates, and running a malware scan.

When I tried to run the windows update troubleshooter it said "diagnosing problems" but never fixed them and I was still unable to install the update after running the trouble shooter.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Bingo, me too. I've had my Dell Inspiron 3668 since Aug 2017. I plan on keeping it until 10/2025 when Win10 reaches end of life.

    Win12 is scheduled to be on the market autumn\2024. So, why bother with this stupid calamity of an "update"? NOTHING should be this difficult; but, if it is, then it is a failure. Just ignore it and have a good backup for your data (i use OneDrive).

    Your right, and that is what so many will do. However, you must have a PC that will run Win 11. There are millions that will not run it due to the TMP 2.0 issue.

    To keep these dinosaurs going, and keep people from going broke, Microsoft is allowing support for another year. There is a lot of crappola to put up with.

    Well, I read about what this failed security update is for and it doesn't pertain to me. The more I read about Win 11 problems the more I want to hold off switching from Win 10 until after Oct/2025. Hopefully, Win 12 will be released by then. Remember the sine wave.

    Easy fix... protect your MS acc't by deleting your password & using Windows Hello (PiN) to sign in. Hackers can't touch it. Trust me on this.
