Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

You do not have to resize anything. I also was reluctant to mess with resizing the partitions. I then read about something called a Windows 10 In-place Upgrade. You do not lose any programs, files, or anything. It just re-installs Windows 10 and fixes this pesky error. I did it several weeks ago and although it takes a while, it got rid of that error.

There's a how-to video on page 25 of this thread or click on the link below. You can d/l a free copy of Windows 10 from MS and you need a USB thumb drive that holds at least 8GB. If you cannot find your activation code for Win 10 go to your Settings > Update & Security > Activation and see if it says it is registered with a digital license. If so, you do not have to reactivate Windows after the reinstall process has completed. There will be lots of time-consuming updates after that, though. But as I said, it gets rid of this error message.

When launching the upgrade, in the "Get updates, drivers, and optional features" window, make sure to check the box: "Download updates, drivers, and optional features ( recommended)".

MS isn't going to put any effort into fixing this because it mostly affects older Windows 10 systems, which they are trying

to get people off of anyway. The manual process to resize the Recovery Partition worked fine for me and then

I read that this fix is only important if you use Bitlocker. If thats true, then I wasted the effort.

There is a known problem with that update.

This is a solution that should resolve the issue with KB503441 and its Error 0x80070643 (in 99% of the cases). For those who are not familiar with Partition Management, stopping SSD cache software, Windows Recovery files, CMD Commands, and using reagentc, this is a very good solution. This is a Microsoft Fix (perhaps not directly recommended) that does work, my advice is to read through this posts many pages that relate to this fix. 

This is an abysmal cop out of a solution. I have 40+ PCs in several states that need this done. Manually doing anything other than automatically applying an official Microsoft patch is am absolutely piss poor solution for my business running Windows 10 Pro.

Telling a customer that physically paid for an OS on sets of hardware to do this should never, ever been seen as an acceptable solution. Are they going to pay me contract rates to cover the labor for this? Are you? No?

Are they fixing it? Apparently also no? Than please how explain how this is remotely acceptable or in any way good for a company as large as MS?

According to some posts from a few weeks ago, MS is not going to fix the problem.
