Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

When I tried to install the windows update "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)" I received the error code (0x80070643).

I have already tried, restarting my computer, waiting a bit before retrying, running a memory diagnostic check, checking all my drivers for updates, installing optional updates, and running a malware scan.

When I tried to run the windows update troubleshooter it said "diagnosing problems" but never fixed them and I was still unable to install the update after running the trouble shooter.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks. As it turns out I fixed in the day before your posted and here's what worked for me.

    1. resized the partition with EaseUS partition manager.
    2. they key was to enable the partition with reagentc /enable

    Bingo, me too. I've had my Dell Inspiron 3668 since Aug 2017. I plan on keeping it until 10/2025 when Win10 reaches end of life.

    Win12 is scheduled to be on the market autumn\2024. So, why bother with this stupid calamity of an "update"? NOTHING should be this difficult; but, if it is, then it is a failure. Just ignore it and have a good backup for your data (i use OneDrive).

    10/14/2025 is still over 1.5 years away. Windows 10 will continue to receive updates until then. And as far as "upgrading" to Win 11, I've read too many stories about how buggy it is compared to Win 10. Someone said Windows versions are like a sine wave - every other one is either a solid platform or full of bugs. Looking back through the years, that seems to be pretty accurate.
