Windows update (KB5034441) Error (0x80070643)

When I tried to install the windows update "2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441)" I received the error code (0x80070643).

I have already tried, restarting my computer, waiting a bit before retrying, running a memory diagnostic check, checking all my drivers for updates, installing optional updates, and running a malware scan.

When I tried to run the windows update troubleshooter it said "diagnosing problems" but never fixed them and I was still unable to install the update after running the trouble shooter.

Any help would be appreciated.

    I don't think this is some hack, it is an update that just was not meant to work on the many different Win10 formats out there. Microsoft did not really do their homework before releasing a Win11 update. Kind of a gentle push for users to get new PCs t;hat are Win11 capable, and have a fresh boot of this OS.

    I have this same error. It was advised to do the update to stop or reduce the BSODs. I have had 4 this morning.

    I have increased my recovery partition using minitool. Still get not able to update.

    I noticed I had two recovery partitions. Apparently Microsoft will auto create a new partition if the old one is not big enough. However, it has not done it for this error.

    I merged the two recovery partitions as multiple notes said this can be done.

    Still have update error.

    I have tried cleanmgr but it did not run as expected from the google notes. I was led to believe I could select the recovery partition to clean, but instead in gives my a list of file types that can be cleaned. Seems like I am in the wrong parking lot with this command.

    Nevertheless, still get look at 0x80070643

    Same problem. Seeing this only on Windows 10 systems. Is this Microsoft's way of forcing update to Windows 11?

    Does Microsoft have any itention of fixing this issue?
