I downloaded WuReset2.0.bat and ran as administrator. It cleared the backlog of old update files and KB4571756 installed without a problem.

I am running Windows 10 Home 2004 (Build 19041.450). Windows Update notified me that there was a cumulative update available to install (2020-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB4571756)). When I told it to install the update, it will download and go up to "Installing - 100%" and then just show this error:
I've tried the following in an attempt to fix the error:
Obviously, none of these worked so I'm looking for any other solutions to this problem. Any help is appreciated.

Is It Formats all of my C drive Files and Data??
Yeah the in-place upgrade using the media creation tool is a 50/50 chance. It works for some and doesn't for others. It's no perfect fix, and I couldn't resolve it by doing that either.
So Microsoft is addressing the issues with September patch
https://www.windowslatest.com/2020/09/15/windows-10-september-2020-update-issues/
Hope October patch resolves these issues and not come with its own new issues
My issue get resolved
By using Media Creation Tool
and Upgrading my pc
I also haven't experienced any issues till the installation of September patch
I also did not find any help for this error, it is some paranoia, how can such a serious error not be resolved for so long...And no one from microsoft helped me.
