Hi,
I suggest pausing the updates for 7 days and keep an eye on this thread for the new update.

I am running Windows 10 Home 2004 (Build 19041.450). Windows Update notified me that there was a cumulative update available to install (2020-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB4571756)). When I told it to install the update, it will download and go up to "Installing - 100%" and then just show this error:
I've tried the following in an attempt to fix the error:
Obviously, none of these worked so I'm looking for any other solutions to this problem. Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

I'd be happy to ignore the update. The problem is that Microsoft Update will not let it go. It insists I need to update whether I'm shutting down or restarting. So there's that...
Blah, blah blah... same issue except Windows Update tells me it needs a restart to install the update. I tried that. Doesn't work. I tried downloading the update and installing it manually and I get a message that says it doesn't apply to my system. But, still... she persisted. It won't go away in Windows Update. And my computer still only offers two options on shutdown... "Update And Restart" or "Update And Shutdown". It shuts down and restarts but Windows Update still tells me it needs a restart to install the update.
Didn't work, yo what's really going on with this???
Everyone, try with this command:
DISM /Online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:NetFx3 /All /LimitAccess /Source:X:\sources\sxs
If you want to be more specific follow the steps on this video
If I achieve anything I'll post back
