I reset my PC and did a clean install of Windows 10 using USB image. After going thru the entire install, before I did anything else I did the windows update.
The same error is back and I am unable to get KB4571756 installed.

I am running Windows 10 Home 2004 (Build 19041.450). Windows Update notified me that there was a cumulative update available to install (2020-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB4571756)). When I told it to install the update, it will download and go up to "Installing - 100%" and then just show this error:
I've tried the following in an attempt to fix the error:
Obviously, none of these worked so I'm looking for any other solutions to this problem. Any help is appreciated.

I have tried every trick I can find on the internet along with many others, to install this update. I just built brand new system, got all my programs on setup way I like it, but can't image due to this crappy patch that MS fails to test better or fix. So now, like many others we sit and wait and hope the fix isn't worse than the current update and break other stuff like past updates.
To do an in-place repair/upgrade, you do not need to create bootable media. But even if you do so, you should just run setup.exe from it, from within your running Windows, not boot the computer from it.
Also, even if you did want to boot from USB install media, to do a clean install of Windows 10, the screen that asks for a Product Key says to select that you do not have a Product Key, if you are reinstalling Windows. You are to just skip past that page this way.
Most Windows 10 devices have a digital license for that Edition of Windows 10. You cannot lose that without replacing major hardware components, such as the motherboard. Your device will be recognized as licensed when you bring Windows 10 online.
You can repair your System files to regain a bootable system, but you should open a new Question thread to get help with this. Your existing Windows 10 install is probably fine.
After several frustrations I could not help it and went ahead with repair/reinstall or whatever...
So I downloaded/created a USB install disk - for the purpose of repairing this damn update failure.
Several minutes of DL, repair time, then POOF! Initial windows showing I need to enter Windows License...
I was like WHAT? Why asking for Windows License? It should be automatic for the installer to recognize this machine!
I went back to BIOS and noticed, no BOOT options (other than the USB)...
It wont boot anymore! I dont have Windows License! NOTHING!
Now I have a lost Windows License to add to the problem!
@#$%#
Just tried that cleanup bat file and that also did not work. Still failing for me.
