Yeah...did that too a few days back. In fact, tried all possible options:
- Tried the "Help" link available in Windows Update section. It connects you to a "Virtual Assistant" (chatbot), which keeps throwing some or the other random steps to perform. They are very time consuming, and even after you follow its instructions for
hours in performing those steps, nothing works.
After that, it tells you that "You can now get connected to a personal support", and then it connects you to a QUEUE where you wait with false hope that some human will help you.
What actually happens is that you keep waiting on that chat window, a person does appear with a welcome message advising you not to share any personal info, but then they instantly disappear. You are left with no choice.
Tried that for 3 days, got connected to two different persons on first two days who disappear after posting their welcome message. On the third day, another person waited for some time after posting welcome message, and then disappeared after saying "We
are sorry, we have some system issues"
- Call up their phone helpline. You are made to wait for long duration, and then either you get frustrated and disconnect on your own, or even after long wait you are told to visit such forums and refer to advice available here.
