OMG. This worked great! Previously I was told to reinstall the program by our server guys. I can't thank you enough.

Since the last update of Windows 10, when I open Windows Live Mail every message produces "Message cannot be displayed." I tried running the "repair" utility, but nothing changed. Is this a widespread issue? I really liked Live Mail and had a lot of messages saved that I can no longer access. HELP!

Hi JamesMcVoy Good day.
I am Louie, a Microsoft Community member and a fellow Windows 10 user like you. I hope I can help you on your concern.
Its possible the Windows Live Mail got corrupted after the update, please perform the following below in the registry:
- click Windows Key + R (to open run)
- in the run type and enter: REGEDIT
- Go to Computer > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows Live Mail
- Create these 3 DWORD entries (if they didnt exist) or change to 1 if they exist
RecreateFolderIndex = 1
RecreateStreamIndex = 1
RecreateUIDLIndex = 1
- Restart Windows Live Mail.
Sincerely
Louie
How do I create the 3 DWORD ENTRIES?? What do I have to do, step by step? Thanks.
I made it through your step 3 fine but then I got stuck.
