Windows Live Mail stopped working after last Windows 10 update

Since the last update of Windows 10, when I open Windows Live Mail every message produces "Message cannot be displayed." I tried running the "repair" utility, but nothing changed. Is this a widespread issue? I really liked Live Mail and had a lot of messages saved that I can no longer access. HELP!

Thank you for your offer to help.  I am not sure what worked but somehow things have fallen back into normal, even the arrow keys which now work.  It seems the computer irearranged itself (???) for the best this time.  It is scary but I will give myself a pause and take it as it is.

My email provider is Outlook.  I set the account as an IMap on their server to make it work after Microsoft stopped support of "Windows Live Mail" in 2018.  Yes, I am seeing the same "Message cannot be displayed" that the others are seeing.  It says check for shortage of memory and hard drive space. I checked this and I am good.  My other Windows 10 computer is working on "Windows Live Mail", but I'm not sure which updates are installed on it.  I tried adding files to storage folders manually using explorer, but it appears that all folders are blocked.  I tried a repair procedure by reloading "Windows Live Mail" install file which gave the option of repair.  I'm hesitant about  doing a complete install, because I don't want to lose all of my old emails in the storage folders.

Thanks to Ron, I was able to reinstall WLM and it works great on my completely up-to-date Windows 10 system. Who is your mail provider and what type of account do you have configured? Are you seeing the "Message cannot be displayed" error that others are seeing?

    Hi Brian,

I probably posted my question on the wrong Microsoft Community question.  My question was (Windows Live Mail stopped working after the last Windows 10 update on March 8. 2021.  I wanted to know if anyone else who still was using "Windows Live Mail", had the same problem that I was having that made my use of "Windows Live Mail" be unusable.  I have no idea what the others are talking about with the 3 registry numbers.  When I download my email using "Windows Live Mail", I get the message (Message could not be displayed) and it evolved to not allowing me to move emails from the inbox to my local "Windows Live Mail" storage folders.  It would be greatly appreciated if someone could tell me if this a problem created by Microsoft or something that happened to my local computer.  Or how can I create another post that is only about this problem.

    Ransome
