Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) memory leakage in Windows 10 (Version 2004).

The infamous dwm.exe hogging lots of memory. FYI this is not a specific program issue. It just happens with any programs, activities randomly.

I'm getting really tired of killing dwm.exe every so often so that it will release the occupied memory. When is this going to be fixed? Is this ever going to be fixed even?

    I have a few suggestions..

    1. Use DDU(display driver uninstaller) to clean uninstall intel hd graphics driver.

    2. Use windows update to get the intel drivers.(might be the old ones)

If it works please do tell me the cpu name and windows version you are using.

Very funny. Just no. Totally no. Just no...

    People on here https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/m52q2e/why\_is\_dwmexe\_desktop\_window\_manager\_using\_so/

claimed the culprit seems to be one of the last Intel drivers too next to bugs in DWM on itsone. So it might be a mix in both of them.

Also, on my HP notebook with UHD 620, dwm.exe is bloating after hibernation.  Currently, mem usage is ~600MB after 2-3 hibernations.

    Windows version 19042.867

    Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

Yes it seems to rise a lot if you hibernate, sleep, use video decoding, Chrome, Explorer browsing, but also for example running games. I played Rimworld for an hour, yet with the dGPU, dwm.exe had afterwards 1GB of ram usage.
