Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) memory leakage in Windows 10 (Version 2004).

The infamous dwm.exe hogging lots of memory. FYI this is not a specific program issue. It just happens with any programs, activities randomly.

I'm getting really tired of killing dwm.exe every so often so that it will release the occupied memory. When is this going to be fixed? Is this ever going to be fixed even?

    nah, as also google chrome and other java based applications are prone to eating a lot of ram, i am happy with restarting DWM together with google chrome :D

    In that case, in intelligence you will go before me.

    Still, I hope MS will release test build 21382 in a global release and fix this on 10 and 11.

    The main thing is that it's not a campaign to reduce the number of users with Intel processes so that they switch to ARM or AMD :D

    This bug is present in Windows 11. I upgraded a notebook with i5 8265U and Intel UHD Graphics 620. After a few minutes, I noticed dwm.exe eating almost 800mb of RAM. So i had to revert to 26. driver version, and everything is working now. I don't understand how Microsoft and Intel can't fix this bug.

    I've been unlucky in that respect.

    At first I thought it was a problem with the operating system itself and reinstalled Windows (I had UHD 620 version 27.20.100.8935 at the time) and with it all previous versions of the driver were uninstalled. Now I cannot downgrade to version 26.20.100.7985 because when installing manually or automatically it gives an error that the OS is not supported by this driver version.

    But surprisingly, after installing version 30.0.100.9955 there is no problem with dmw.exe leaking (until the first reboot/sleep/hibernation*).

    *Surprisingly, each new driver version leaks faster and faster.

    First time I noticed this problem last year, from 50mb to 1gb it took 2-3 hours to leak, now from 50mb to 1gb it takes about 10 to 30 minutes
