Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) memory leakage in Windows 10 (Version 2004).

The infamous dwm.exe hogging lots of memory. FYI this is not a specific program issue. It just happens with any programs, activities randomly.

I'm getting really tired of killing dwm.exe every so often so that it will release the occupied memory. When is this going to be fixed? Is this ever going to be fixed even?

One thing that I found helpful was to just setup a task in Task Scheduler to restart my computer every day at 5:00am. It may be an unrelated bug, but I found high memory usage in non-pageable memory which can really only be cleared out via restarting (logging out might work, but it might not since the memory is allocated at the OS/driver level).

Hello. You're right. The DWM RAM leak starts when it reaches 200MB or more even if it eats 1-4GB or more, such as 8192MB (8GB) inside 16GB of RAM.

In some cases, DWM eats 175MB-1.5GB of RAM, but when staying in DWM-1, it may eat 24-110MB of RAM memory.

    Actually, DWM.EXE hasn't reached 200MB of RAM
