Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) memory leakage in Windows 10 (Version 2004).

The infamous dwm.exe hogging lots of memory. FYI this is not a specific program issue. It just happens with any programs, activities randomly.

I'm getting really tired of killing dwm.exe every so often so that it will release the occupied memory. When is this going to be fixed? Is this ever going to be fixed even?

    I know, but for some reason the link to create a bootable usb is in Russian, the link will still open in Russian, even if the user is from another country.

    That's why I didn't send the link.

    Hello. Bad luck!!!!! My Intel UHD Graphics 630 is affected. This is why DWM eats much RAM in Windows 10 on my computer. :(

    I've been unlucky in that respect.

    At first I thought it was a problem with the operating system itself and reinstalled Windows (I had UHD 620 version 27.20.100.8935 at the time) and with it all previous versions of the driver were uninstalled. Now I cannot downgrade to version 26.20.100.7985 because when installing manually or automatically it gives an error that the OS is not supported by this driver version.

    But surprisingly, after installing version 30.0.100.9955 there is no problem with dmw.exe leaking (until the first reboot/sleep/hibernation*).

    *Surprisingly, each new driver version leaks faster and faster.

    First time I noticed this problem last year, from 50mb to 1gb it took 2-3 hours to leak, now from 50mb to 1gb it takes about 10 to 30 minutes

    This bug is present in Windows 11. I upgraded a notebook with i5 8265U and Intel UHD Graphics 620. After a few minutes, I noticed dwm.exe eating almost 800mb of RAM. So i had to revert to 26. driver version, and everything is working now. I don't understand how Microsoft and Intel can't fix this bug.

    I am testing Windows 11 since yesterday with Intel iGPU driver 30.0.100.9922 and it seems to not leak so far. I noticed some spiking in memory up to 250MB of DWM.exe but after some random time, it "reset" back down to 50mb, and then spiked again to 150MB and reset back. Seems maybe they implemented a workaround which will reset the memory in Windows 11? So far it behaves correctly. But I also had a week of no leak under Windows 10, so that could just be "luck" so far.

    Intel also claimed they implemented a "fix" in 30.0.100.9922, but I already had tested 30.0.100.9922 under Windows 10 and it still leaked.
