KB4566782 Update Loop

My laptop is running Windows 10 2004 OS build 19041.388 and windows update decides to automatically install cumulative update KB4566782 (build 19041.450). The installation will fail (0x800f081f) during updating Windows and Windows update automatically retry to install it until my laptop's battery dies.

How get out of this update loop?

update: We need a true solution, and please do not mark reinstalling windows 10 as an answer, dear moderators.

    Yes you can use Microsoft update catalogue to see if it installs the update.

    Do you know which update is failing?

    Is there more than one update trying to install?

    If so try installing the updates individually with this tool:

    Hello,

    Error Code 0x800f081f means CBS_E_SOURCE_MISSING.

    The fastest way to repair is to do a inplace upgrade.

    Have you installed a 3rd party Antivirus and/or Firewall Program and Tuning Tools?

    When yes, please remove this.

    Please use the removal tool of the respective manufacturer of the antivirus or firewall program also.

    After that starts a Windows Repair Installation:

    You can try the steps below to check if Windows will stop trying to update it again:

    1. Open Start, type: CMD
    2. Right click CMD
    3. Click Run as administrator

    Type each of the following then press Enter

    Net Stop bits

    Net Stop wuauserv

    Net Stop appidsvc

    Net Stop cryptsvc

    Ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bak

    Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak

    Net Start bits

    Net Start wuauserv

    Net Start appidsvc

    Net Start cryptsvc

    Oh okay.. I'm sorry but I have run out of ideas maybe other community members could provide a good advice or even so Microsoft could release a new update with a fix.

    Does it also include the hide and show troubleshooter? The troubleshooter could prevent that troublesome update to automatically install...

    Yes, It says "there are no updates available to hide".
