Will Microsoft Flight Simulator support multiple monitors?

or having multiple different view points and cameras, like you have in FSX (like tower view, etc.) and a whole lot more great features that were present in FSX.

It appears to me that the FS2020 development team spent all their time in developing the world's scenery (which is great) and flight dynamics and aircraft designs, that they decided to leave out a lot of the important features that users loved in FSX. Which is a real shame, but hopefully, over time, the FS2020 development team will start to add some of these missing FSX features back into FS2020.

The thing with FSX, is that its an OLD program that uses OLD technology and doesn't take advantage of the technological features of today's modern computers. Its old and outdated and looks that way from the graphics standpoint (unless you have a lot of added on scenery, planes, cities, etc.) 

So while I still have FSX installed on my brand new Ryzen 9 PC, I rarely use it much now anymore and pretty much just use FS2020, even though it lacks sooooooo many of the great features that are on the older FSX.

WHY ON EARTH, did the developers of FS2020 decide NOT TO INCLUDE so many of the GREAT features of FSX that everyone loves to use, is beyond me! Hopefully though, the developers will ACTUALLY LISTEN TO their users and start to incorporate some of these favored features of FSX, like the multiple views, the instant playback feature and flight record, more detailed flight data analysis, the ability to be able to easy file a flight plane while in mid-air, etc. etc.

If FS2020 was more like FSX in its features (combined with the great features of FS2020) you would have an outstanding flight simulator program!

Well, I finally have my new system set up, running a Dell G5 5000 with an i7 10700 and an Nvidia GTX 1660Ti. and an Alienware 27 inch monitor. The system itself works great. That is where great ends. I have not be able to get it to work with FSX, even after using the Windows Compatibility function and a variety of other suggested solutions. I have attempted to run it in windowed format (tried entering a -w and -windows at the end of the target field in properties), have also tried Alt Enter once the program initially loads, but nothing seems to work. the program loads but once I try to go to Free Flight, I get a black screen that locks up the PC and requires a manual program stop through cntl alt del. I also tried a suggestion to turn off antialiasing with no success.

So when that was unsuccessful I decided to buy Flight Simulator 2020. I then found out that my SideWinder Force Feedback 2 joystick is apparently not compatible with Windows 10! I sounds like it may have worked for some when their existing system was upgraded to Windows 10, but in a new system like mine that came with Windows 10 it sounds like there is no hope of it working. it is not much fun flying with the keyboard!!

It has not been a good time trying to upgrade my flying experience. Any other thoughts on how to make FSX work on W10?

BTW I don't know how this topic is related to the thread title and content. Might have better luck in a hardware related forum. That aside there are a number of articles regarding Win10 and FF2 compatibility and many have gotten it to work.

You really should explore MSFS2020. It's so muc better scenery and the aircraft are amazing. Plus fun challenges and 'road trips'. It can be difficult to set up and there are many mostly small issues that can be annoying. Still worth it IMHO.

Unless you are severely constrained budget-wise there are lots of great joysticks out there.

Sorry for the confusion on my part. This has been an ongoing discussion over the past few months that started with Windows 10 and FSX. Since I have had numerous replies I wasn’t aware it was inappropriate.
